“Separate Line” is a blues rock composition by Orkhan Efendi and embodies the manifesto of the freedom perception in itself. Mainly the music work denies the force of others on having the same mindset with them and supports to discover our unique approach in the life as such, which is marked in the name of the song as well explicitly. “Separate Line” simply means the realization of your own way of thinking.

The author is fed up with reproaching and blaming thoughts of the society to be the person that people around want to see and their compelling on drawing him to be just one of them. He wants to have his own self and personality to give freedom to the real being. Therefore, it is a real strong start of the song by saying “I can’t be the person that others exactly want”.

We all have our own preferences and that situation is quite in order, when someone’s differs from another’s. To whatever you give a priority in the life is welcomed and respected, however that does not mean that I have to do the same and act how it is pleasant to you. Every person has his own point of view and in the lifeblood a separate line. “Your preferences cannot mean mine“.

The refrain concludes the concept of the song in general but also specific ideas. The life belongs to us and therefore no ever one has the right to interfere to it and restrict our freedom. Being free is the liberty, not the right, because that is our natural possession on being a human (“Liberty to be free”). On the subsequent line the author supports his ideas in the first verse of the song by saying that we are not obliged to form and shape our characteristics corresponding to the community just because of the fact that others want to see us differently.

If someone believes on one philosophy, religion, truth, faith or whatever it is, very nice. I appreciate it. If it makes you happy, just keep going on. It could also be the way of living, thinking, seeming or any case that one discovers himself there and feels the strong connection to it. Great! I am happy that you have found in the life a spot which pushes you forward. But wait, does that really mean that I am obliged to to the same thing as you do in that regard? Then why are you every time blaming me on thinking not the same as you do? “If you are in depth of one faith just go for it, but I am not obliged to the same on that belief“

I have been indeed rarely witnessed to people who can consider themselves being in a wrong way, because everyone supposes that he is right in every field, he is the smartest and knows something better than others. He is the most brainy one, but the rest has gone crazy. Here there is actually a collision between the main concept of the song, since the music and lyrics in itself supports having your own thinking way on one hand but criticizes ones who regard themselves smarter than others in all cases. However, that blaming is actually about the people, who has dived into one belief or faith and want to force others to be in the same line with them.

Nevertheless, we have to see understanding of “truth” and “fiction”, that is relative, my truth is fiction for you, your truth could be fiction for me as well. If I believe that the world is round but you think it is flat (just to give an example, of course it is round with wriggles), then for you round is fiction, while for me the truth, the fiction is flat When I support my idea with a real fact and you do yours with something else, for your perception the real fact is not the reality yet. “One’s truth is one’s fiction or the other way around“.

At the end, the author states one of examples from the day-to-day life, how one can expect from others to see the life the same as he does. When one has free time and simply nothing to do, interestingly assumes that the people in entire world is in the same situation. They are also free and seeks for activity to deal with. But we have to realize that our schedule and day arrangement is private as well as exclusive.

At the end of the song the concluding assertions are put forward. No one should see himself as a core of the mankind. We all have our unique life and personality.

The last sentence in the lyrics goes back to the main idea: “Everyone belongs to his mind”.

“Separate Line” invites people to give a way to themselves to discover their own and understand others to have individual attitude as well. It was recorded in January, 2018 with the collaboration of other musicians.

“Separate Line” conveys the idea of forming our own personality along with viewpoint and give a priority to our individual self. It actually repeats the notion of my music concept, “Release Yourself” and therefore pays the huge respect of uniqueness, distinctiveness and originality of every human-being.
