“Winter Sun” is the love-based song in the genre of soft rock where the combination of bluesy elements were adjoined to the harmony of the tune.

In the concept of the music mainly the role of beloved in the life of lover is compared with the Sun in the winter, which shines bright, but not warming the surface enough. That means, the lover dreams of her, she gives beautiful feelings to his mind which grants the inspiration to him and beautifies his heart, but those emotions are cold ones which do not give the warmth, because the connection between them is lost and the lover cannot see his sweetheart and receive her affection and heat anymore.

The lyrics starts with the regretful and longing feelings of the lover, he is upset because of losing her. The only leftovers are memories, that he is wandering in the dreams in order to read the book of their relation again for getting that thrill and gratification again.

Then the description of that “story book” is followed up by the short scene, the memorable one for him. That moment, when his beloved was at once raising up her eyes and smiling, spreading her beautiful smell to the surrounding. Although that is the simple movement of the girl, but has remained as the precious memory in the heart of the lover.

“Now that freezing shine, in the heaven on dreams of mine, brightening its flare” – But she is still shining so bright, lightening up the sky of the lover, the sky of his dreams. But that shining is cold, it is not able to warm the weather and the around. It shines strong, but there is a contradiction – despite of the bright flare one cannot get the heat. Therefore, the girl is Sun, but the one shining in the winter.

The another idea behind the name of “Winter Sun” is related to the distance, because in the Winter the Earth locates in farther interval from the Sun than it is in other seasons. In the winter it reaches its most remote distance from the Sun. Therefore, that is so far with billion miles.

“You are like the winter Sun in the open and serene sky, sparkling in the distance, yet still keeping the ice” – the main part behind the concept of the song was depicted in those lines of the lyrics, that is exactly what this music is meant to be. The Sun is gleaming around and dazzling my eyes. But cannot melt the ice. Therefore there is the brightness in the sky, but coldness on the ground. The sky is the dreams of the lover, and the ground is his real life today.

The lover thinks that he is not going to have her in the facts of existence anymore, because that is unrealistic and even unexpected. However, he will live by losing himself in the depth of this love and in the dreams in her eyes.

Then not only the love feelings are confronted with the natural creatures, but also the shine of the Sun with the rain, so two natural facts to each other. He will be drenched, soaked and submerged under the freezing shine of the girl. And also the rain of the calmness will make him get wet thoroughly in this silence of the girl. That is why it is the rain of her ice-cold shine and stable calmness.

At the end, the lover gives the consolation to himself, that although his beloved is not around, but she will every time make his mind brighter. Because Sun is every time the Sun in any case, even if there are clouds in the sky which cover its light, still our sky will not be the same as we have that at the night, but brighter, because the Sun will still “shimmer”, no matter how the clouds are dense. As the lover in this song, his eyes see the shine, he is gratified by the beauty of the Sun, but from the distance and without being able to reach it.
